Construction machinery industry develops rapidly and occupies an important position in the national economy.This paper takes the TY company as an example of the agency of engineering machinery and equipment as an example to study the competency model construction of the engineering machinery sales personnel and study the application of the competency model in the recruitment process.As a powerful engineering machinery agent,TY has entered a mature period after many years of operation.With the fluctuation of industry and the impact of competitors,the backward human resource management mechanism of TY company has become the main factor restricting the development of the company,which has led to the decline of the company's operating performance year by year.Therefore,TY company will adjust its human resource management strategy,use the competency model of construction machinery sales personnel,recruit salespeople with good professionalism and identify with the corporate spirit of the company,and fundamentally reverse the situation of the company's declining business.In this paper,by conducting interviews with the sales personnel of TY company,sorting out the interview data to encode,refining the 24 competency factors of the construction machinery sales personnel,compiling the centralization of the Li kte five scale,collecting the real feedback of the sales staff,and calculating the reliability and validity of the reclaimed data by input of the data input into the system.According to the similarity of the calculation results,the competency quality factor is classified into five dimensions,and the competency model of construction machinery salesman is constructed to be applied.Through the systematic understanding of the quality factors required by the sales staff of TY company,the company's sales post instructions are compiled,and according to the design behavior interview question bank,the corresponding evaluation index of the interview results is formulated,and the final research results are applied to the actual recruitment work to recruit the sales staff qualified for the requirements of the TY company.
