Research On Manufacturing Transformation And Upgrade In Fo Shan

At present,the CPC has repeatedly stressed at the 19 th,18th and 2nd Plenary Sessions of the 18 th National Congress that the industry of China is in an important transition period in our country,and we must always adhere to the new model of industrialization,which must be the theme of the innovation and development of the manufacturing industry.We will promote the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry,foster a manufacturing culture with Chinese characteristics,and realize the historical leap from large to strong manufacturing industry in China.At the same time,domestic and foreign market demand has led to rapid changes in the structure of the real economy.Manufacturing industry plays a leading role in industry,which can not be underestimated in the rapid development of economy society.The development of manufacturing industry will not only promote the development of regional industry,but also solve the problem of regional employment.The core of the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry is the transformation of manufacturing products from extensive to intensive,with low value-added,high energy consumption and high pollution to high value-added,low energy consumption and low pollution;Up the value chain from the lower end of the value chain.In recent years,the overall structure of the manufacturing industry in Foshan has not been much adjusted.The labor and capital-intensive industries account for a relatively large proportion of the entire manufacturing industry,while the labor technology,capital technology,and technology-intensive industries account for a small proportion.The manufacturing industry is facing a series of problems such as low technical content,high energy consumption and high pollution,which are major bottlenecks to its economic and social development and seriously hinder the sustainable and healthy development of its economy.It urgently demands that the manufacturing industry change this extensive development through transformation and upgrading.The factors that affect the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing include demand,supply,and international trade.Through the analysisof these factors,the competitiveness of manufacturing industry can be improved effectively,and the problems of low structure level,incomplete industrial chain and low input-output rate are effectively solved in the process of manufacturing industry.In view of the current situation and existing problems of manufacturing industry in Foshan,11 explanatory variables are selected from many factors that influence the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.The author draws the conclusion from the empirical analysis of data using factor analysis and linear regression method in Foshan from 2002 to 2016.The income of urban and rural residents,the number of manufacturing employment,the number of manufacturing technology developers,the number of manufacturing technology companies,the research expenditures,the degree of opening up,the rate of urbanization,and the share of government expenditure in GDP all have a positive impact on the transformation and upgrading of Foshan's manufacturing industry.The utilization rate of foreign capital has a negative impact on the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industries.This is because Foshan City is famous for big manufacturing industry.However,these industry are mainly based on the traditional manufacturing industry which depend on private capital.Foreign investments are mainly used in the service industry in the tertiary industry,and it is less used in manufacturing.Therefore,the utilization of foreign investment in manufacturing in Foshan is relatively low.In addition,In order to occupy a place in the international competition,in recent years,Foshan City has actively promoted independent research and development and technological innovation on its own and has achieved remarkable results.Therefore,foreign direct investment has played a role in the industrial transformation and upgrading of Foshan City,and it has shown negatively related characteristics.Finally,combines the problems,current situation and influencing factors of the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry in Foshan,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for manufacturing transformation and upgrading in Foshan city from the aspects of building new manufacturing area agglomeration,accelerating the development of regional manufacturing development,setting up an interactive platform between manufacturing industry and service enterprises,strengthening independent innovation,and creating a good talent environment.
