Research On The Relationship Between Technology Diversification And Innovation Performance

Technological innovation is an important way for enterprises to gain competitive advantage.The implementation of technology diversification strategy in enterprises can expand the field of technology research and development,spread the risk of technology research and development,but excessive diversification will improve the coordination cost.Some scholars from the enterprise technology openness,proximity,knowledge absorption capability and network position,organization redundancy,dynamic capabilities,technical depth,etc.Special complementary assets were discussed from the technology diversification influence on innovation performance of the mechanism,but few scholars from the influence mechanism of enterprise external environment perspective on the study.Therefore,from the perspective of government support(government subsidies,tax preferences),the research on the impact of technological diversification on innovation performance is of guiding significance to improve the efficiency of R&D and the efficiency of government macro regulation.Firstly,through literature review of technology diversification,innovationperformance,government support and related relationship,this paper defines the concepts of technology diversification,innovation performance and government support.Then the concept model is built on the basis of previous research,and 9 research hypotheses are put forward by logical reasoning and theoretical analysis.Finally,the data of 82 high-tech industries listed companies from 2012 to 2016 are selected as research samples,using SPSS22.0 statistical analysis software,descriptive statistical analysis,correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were used to test the research hypothesis.The empirical results show that technological diversification is positively correlated with innovation performance,and the correlation between related technological diversification and innovation performance is inverted U,and the correlation between unrelated technological diversification and innovation performance is positively correlated.;government subsidies have positive moderating effect on the relationship between technological diversification and innovation performance;government subsidies have positive moderating effect on the relationship between non related diversification and technological innovation performance;tax preference has a positive moderating effect on the relationship between technological diversification and innovation performance;tax preference has a positive moderating effect on the relationship between non related diversification and technological innovation performance.
