Based on the classification system of "Production-Living-Ecological"(P-L-E),the land use and its main functions,this paper studied the optimization scheme of P-L-E space,which was significant for land space optimization of Yajiang County and sustainable development of Tibetan area in western Sichuan.Relying on the remote sensing images and artificial visual interpretation of the land use data of Yajiang County in 2010 and 2015,the P-L-E land use dataset was reclassified according to the P-L-E classification system constructed previously.Based on Arc GIS,SPSS,Fragstats and other software platforms,using spatial analysis,time series analysis,regression analysis and landscape pattern analysis,we analyzed the spatial distribution,temporal evolution,future development and suitable space for P-L-E,and put forward optimization recommendations for this region.The results showed as follows: 1)the area of P-L-E space in Yajiang County:ecological space > production space> living space.The spatial distribution was affected by the terrain,so the alpine area was ecological space,and the production space and living space in the valley were crosswise distributed.Production space was concentrated distributed in the east and west of Yajiang County,where a small amount of living space was scattered distributed,and it presented a characteristic of “V” type;Living space was distributed along the road and river;Ecological space was distributed in a characteristic of aggregation.2)Most production space was located in the area whose altitude was above 3600 m and whose slope was below 35 degree.Living space was located in the area whose altitude was below 3600 m and whose slope was below 35 degree.Ecological space was located in the area whose altitude was above 3600 m and whose slope was above 25 degree.3)Spatial structure analysis showed that Yajiang County had a low degree of concentration,and ecological space had a superiority over others.The space structure of P-L-E was different in each towns,the area whose degree of diversity and evenness were high presented a low degree of centralization and dominance.4)The area of ? ?production space and living space in Yajiang Countywas increasing,and the area of ? ?ecological space was decreasing.The spatial andtemporal dynamic conversion areas were distributed along the river and road in small patches.5)We predicted that the population of Yajiang County would be 56,230 in 2020,and 6459.61 hm2 of cultivated land and 1485.89 hm2 of living space were needed.6)The ecological landscape of Yajiang County had a high degree of aggregation,a low degree of fragmentation and an abundant type of landscape.The technical achievements of this paper can be used as a reference for other relevant regions and related research.The data can provide a theoretical basis for sustainable development and intensive land use in Yajiang County,and provide suggestions for optimization of land space.Analyzing of P-L-E space in the future,we can strengthen the research of function identification and the balance of function especially.
