With the integration and globalization of world economy, china's export and import trades has witnessed a tremendous progress since China entered into WTO in 2001.In particular, the export trade in manufacturing industry has made leapfrog development. After China's accession to the WTO in 2001,with the global economic integration and economic globalization, the import and export trade has made rapid progress. In particular, the manufacturing export trade has achieved leaps and bounds. However, the study by Ceglowski&Golub(2007)found that the economic growth of China's export trade was mainly dependent on the growth of export volume, which won the competitive advantage at a lower export price.Affected by the financial crisis in 2008,after shrinking external demand,at the same time, domestic labor costs and the supply of labor structure, lead to China had to rely on low cost of natural resources and primary production factor endowment advantage gradually threatened,as a result, more and more scholars focus on the quality of export products. However, due to the limited access to data, how to measure the quality of export products still have considerable room for improvement, for export quality also needs to be further studied the mechanism of ascension, for this reason, this article will use the improved Khandelwal model,to measure for the export of our country in recent years the quality of the products, related research will be to promote the export quality research to make a certain contribution margin. The main research contents of this paper are as follows:First, this paper will analyze how all factor productivity influence the quality of export trade, including technical progress efficiency, cost effect and comprehensive effect.Technical progress will promote product quality and cost effect will enhance technical progress effect, which can result in comprehensive effect and promote the quality of export products.Secondly, this article takes advantage of Khandelwal's nested Logit model and further improves this model. It incorporates manufacturing industry's total factor productivity into the model, measuring the quality index and export quality ladder of the manufacturing industry from 1999 to 2014 as well as the overall quality index of China's industry. The research results show that the approximate total factor productivity of China's manufacturing industry and price of export commodities are significantlye negatively correlated with the total export market share excluding external market share as well as the nested market share. The measurement results also show that the quality ladder of China's technology-intensive industries is the longest, followed by capital-intensive industries and the labor-intensive industries. At present,China is still at the stage of comparative advantage in labor force. It can also be seen from the study that the quality of export products in China's manufacturing industry did not increase steadily from 1999 to 2014,especially since the financial crisis in 2008.It shows that China's export trade is mainly featured by quantitative growth rather than qualitative growth. Then, the export products are grouped according to the different technical level and different processing degree to make robustness test. The empirical results, showing strong robustness, are consistent with the previous text. The results also show that the low-tech and high-tech product quality index is relatively high while the export quality index of the medium-level technology product is relatively low,and goes downward during the sample period. The export quality of intermediate products has been on an upward trend since 2004,and the final product has the highest export quality index, indicating that China has improved its processing status in the international market and its export product quality has improved.Again, according to the above, the result of the industry quality measure of the ladder with GLS estimation method, the selection of capital density, the density of r&d),human capital and the degree of opening to the outside world four variables to return the quality ladder, and all the industry according to the element intensity is divided into labor-intensive,capital-intensive and technology-intensive industry, the estimated results are robustness test, study concluded that:the quality ladder with human capital and significantly negatively associated with the degree of opening to the outside world, positively related to the density of capital, and research and development density relationship is not clear. However, there are some differences between these factors in different types of industries. Finally, based on the conclusion from the above research and the current China's export trade, this paper will put forward corresponding suggestion on policy and also envision on this study.
