The Jilin Province Foreign Trade: Structure,Problems,and Countermeasures

Jilin province is the backbone of the planning and blueprint for revitalizing old industrial base Jilin province is located in the geometric center of Northeast Asia,near Russia,DPRK,Korea,Mongolia,Japan and other countries,with the advantage of geographical environment,Jilin province has become a big province with potential development.Compared with the National foreign trade data,Jilin Province is in a disadvantaged position.Nowadays,Jilin Province is faced with the imbalance of regional development and low total amount of foreign trade,which has severely restricted the overall political,economic and cultural development of Jilin Province.Through the combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis,comparative research,literature analysis and data analysis,the foreign trade data from 1979 to 2016 since the reform and opening to the outside world have been studied.Phase II: deep adjustment,ready for action;The third stage: a sharp rise and accelerated development;Phase four: sustained development,with some regression.Changes have also occurred in the commodity structure,mode structure,mode structure,regional structure and export situation of different types of enterprises in foreign trade.At the same time,the paper analyses the problems and causes of the development of foreign trade structure in Jilin province.This paper analyzes the shortcomings of the foreign trade structure of Jilin Province mainly from the reasons of unreasonable export commodity structure,lack of leading enterprises in foreign trade,the lag of service trade development in commodity trade,market mechanism,imperfect investment environment and so on.Based on the problems existing in the structure of foreign trade in Jilin province,some measures are put forward.There are three main measures: First,optimizing the export structure of foreign trade.make strategic adjustments to existing foreign trade exports and structures to improve the quality and variety of export products;strengthen our awareness of innovation and independent research and development and improve the competitiveness of the export commodities in Jilin Province.expand agricultural exports and increase the added value of agricultural products.Second,promote the diversification of foreign trade operations and the expansion of leading enterprises.Adjust the structure and management of state-owned enterprise assets;Strengthen the support to the private foreign trade enterprises;accelerate the construction of economic development zones.Third,the policy guarantee for promoting foreign trade development.Raising awareness of government services;The government guides the development of regional foreign trade industry;The government's indirect market regulation is dominant.Finally,this paper summarizes the present situation and structural changes of foreign trade and puts forward effective countermeasures for the problems of foreign trade structure.
