Germany is regarded as the heart of Europe.It is located in the central European region and is the most populous country in the European Union.Germany,the largest economy in Europe and the third largest exporter in the world,has always been a pioneer innovators and beneficiaries of economic globalization.It have played a key role in the European revival after the European debt crisis and even the recovery and development of the world economy.In December 2013,Angela Merkel was the third German Chancellor,the overall development of Sino-German relations has been good.Although Merkel's relations between China and Germany had some problems in Merkel's first two terms,Merkel adjusted it in time.The foreign policy adopted a more pragmatic attitude.The Sino-German relations were soon restored.Froming the publication of the "Joint Communique between China and Germany on Comprehensively Promoting Strategic Partnerships" to the year 2014 as a comprehensive strategic partnership.During this period,Sino-German relations were in a "Golden Age." At the same time,Sino-German economic and trade have made great progress.Over the years,Germany has been China's largest trading partner in the European Union,and both China and Germany are the world's foreign trade powers.Duing to the impact of the European debt crisis,the European economy continued to decline and the Chinese economy continued to improve.As a result,the development of Sino-German economic and trade relations presented unprecedented opportunities.The "Industry 4.0" plan put forward by Germany in 2013 revitalized the country's manufacturing industry.China's "China Manufacturing 2025"launched in 2015 is highly compatible with it.China and Germany signed the"Sino-German Cooperation Action Plan" in 2014.Vigorously carry out the "One Belt One Road" initiative in China,the Brexit and the European Union' s declining situation,China and Germany have a good background in conducting comprehensive and practical economic and trade cooperation,The Merkel government' s reforms and changes in the German investment environment also provide good opportunities for Sino-German economic and trade cooperation.In addition to the uncertainty of the EU itself,the influence of external factors such as the United States,and the problems existing inChinese companies,these unfavorable factors will be the challenges of Sino-German economic and trade cooperation.In the process of deepening cooperation and strategic reciprocity between the two countries,China and Germany should adopt a more active and pragmatic attitude in their economic and trade cooperation and grasp common interests to resolve contradictions and differences.Both China and Germany should promote bilateral cooperation to develop in depth under the multilateral and bilateral frameworks such as the EU and G20.Through the joint efforts of China and Germany,bilateral economic and trade relations between China and Germany will be further developed.
