Study On The Effect Of WTO On Samoa

Since its establishment in 1944,the World Trade Organization has played an important role in establishing inter-state trade rules,resolving trade disputes among countries,and promoting the development of international trade.Many countries are actively trying to enter the World Trade Organization,but they have entered The process of the World Trade Organization needs long-term consultation and planning.Each country wants to safeguard its own national interests,so it is particularly important for the formulation of trade clauses and trade rules.Every country hopes to be able to greatly promote its own level of trade after entering the World Trade Organization,and to drive the level of national economic and international exchanges.However,studies have shown that the World Trade Organization does not actively promote all countries.For some countries,especially developing countries,due to the unequal international relations,there has been no significant development after joining the World Trade Organization.The author is from Samoa,and Samoa was formally approved to enter the World Trade Organization in 2012.In the following years,Samoa's economy has developed in many ways,and there is currently a lack of specific studies on the impact of the World Trade Organization on Samoa.This article first introduced the World Trade Organization,including its development history,basic principles,and major roles.Based on its development goals,it then reviewed the achievements made by its member states in promoting trade growth since its establishment.Secondly,it introduced the basic situation of Samoa,including the development history and national characteristics,and actively joined the World Trade Organization.At the same time,it describes in detail the process of Samoa's accession to the World Trade Organization and the terms signed during the process of reaching an agreement.It also combines Samoa's accession to the World Trade Organization and the economic situation before and after Samoa's accession to the WTO,including the development of GDP,the change of things' price,the change of trade balance and foreign investment.All the things are combined to analyze the interests and negative effects of Samoa's accession to the World Trade Organization.After a comprehensive analysis of the overall situation before and after Samoa's accession to the WTO,combined with the economic development direction of the Samoa after joining the WTO,I give specific recommendations upon identified problems,like developing Samoa's corporate standard investment environment,improving business transaction ventures,and expanding support for agriculture.After the analysis of the overall situation,I made a prediction on the prospects of Samoa's accession to the WTO.I believed that Samoa's future direction is to be a member of a developing country,to actively enter the path of globalization,strengthen communication and cooperation with other countries,and jointly promote development.And so on,to promote the World Trade Organization to achieve favorable policies and regulations for all countries in order to strive for all kinds of more rights and promote a virtuous circle.
