A Research About Performance Audit Of Local Government Investment Projects

Nowadays,there are a lot of local government investing projects,these projects play an important role in our life.But there are also a lot of illegal act in the reason of losing supervision,large capitals and so on.Also,in this area there are many phenomena of overlapping investment,mindless cost,inefficient investment So,analysing the economy,efficiency and effect of local government investing projects,evaluating the situation of policy decision,constructing,management,operation and utility to improve the efficiency of the use of public funds and build the scientific,efficient and open government is the only way of our country's political,economic,and social development.However,it is difficult to achieve the performance audit of construction in the reason of the lack of scientific norm,evaluation systems and standards.The author compares and analyzes the differences of performance audit between China and abroad,to find out the problems and shortcomings in the development of performance audit in China.Then the author suggests that The Audit Commission should issue the standards of the performance audit,evaluate the project in it's own way,create a database of the information of performance audit,use the comparison method to judge the performance,to improve the system of performance audit of government investment projects.At the last,the author try to create a system of performance audit of transportation construction projects,then use the system to evaluate a real project in Nanjing.
