Industrial agglomeration,as a geographic feature of economic activity distribution,is considered as an important part of regional competitive advantage. The co-agglomeration of producer service industry and manufacturing industry is an important extension of industrial agglomeration and it is the frontier issue of current agglomeration research.Existing research shows that there is a synergistic clustering situation between producer service and manufacturing, but the formation mechanism of co-agglomeration is still an unsolved mystery. Therefore,a deep analysis is made between the producer services and the manufacturing. The mechanism of collaborative agglomeration has important practical significance and application value for expanding and deepening industrial agglomeration theory and guiding industrial layout. This paper discusses the mechanism and effect of co-agglomeration of producer services and manufacturing, and uses the spatial econometric model to study the panel data of 230 prefecture-level cities in China and finds that: the convergence of productive services and manufacturing agglomeration There is a non-linear "U" shape relationship, there is an extrusion effect on the manufacturing in the early stages of the development of the producer services. When the producer services develops to a certain level,it will promote the agglomeration of the manufacturing. The influence of manufacturing on producer services is not significant.Compared with the eastern and central regions, the manufacturing development in the western region is more dependent on the interaction between industries;different producer services are at the same level of agglomeration.Next, there are differences in the effects of manufacturing agglomeration;financial externalities, technological externalities and institutional externalities all have a significant positive impact on industrial collaborative agglomeration;collaborative agglomeration of producer services and manufacturing has significant technological innovation.Positive promotion effect;labor pool and intermediate input sharing can generate the relationship between industrial collaborative agglomeration and technological innovation Significant positive mediating effects, but knowledge spillovers have not passed the test of mediating effects.
