Research On Technology-related Relationship Between Producer Services And Manufacturing

Since the middle of the last century,the productive service industry has played an increasingly prominent role in economic development.The germination of a new round of scientific and technological revolutions and industrial changes has driven the development of producer services into a new phase.The productive service industry has become an important part of industrial technology and economic development.direction.In contrast,although China’s manufacturing has a place in the world,due to the weak manufacturing technology,the development is facing a big but not a strong predicament.How China’s manufacturing has emerged from its predicament and how it should be supported by industries has become a difficult problem for China’s economic development.This dissertation constructs the analysis framework of the relationship between producer service industry and manufacturing technology from two levels of industry and agglomeration,and discusses the mechanism of technology association between the two industries.Based on the theoretical mechanism,this paper empirically analyzes the technical relationship between China’s producer service industry and manufacturing industry.This article finds:(1)From the perspective of industry,the theoretical mechanisms of the two major industry technology associations indicate that the externalization of the production service and the manufacturing service industry have formed industrial linkages,and the industrial linkages are driven by demand and interest to form technological linkage requirements,and the structural hole network provides the technology diffusion.From the perspective of agglomeration,the positive externalities resulting from spatial agglomeration have enabled the industrial linkages within the cluster to actively increase the demand for technology linkages,and the knowledge spillover effects resulting from specialization and diversification have promoted the inter-industry technology linkage.(2)The results of the input-output analysis method based on the structural hole theory show that the producer service industry has a higher level of information diffusion when it drives the development of manufacturing technology.According to the different information diffusion capabilities,the productive service industry is divided into three types:high-efficiency high-constraints,high-efficiency low-constraints,and low-efficiency low-constraint;to expand the structure of the hole network,the analysis of the producer services industry through panel data analysis of manufacturing Industry and sub-industry technology diffusion effects.The research shows that the technological innovation capability of producer services has a pulling effect on manufacturing.(3)Using the new economic geography theory to explore the dynamic changes between the spatial concentration of producer services and manufacturing output growth.The research results show that the spatial agglomeration effect has a positive externality to the growth of manufacturing output.It is also found that the spatial clustering of producer services shows heterogeneity,and the heterogeneity of the industry provides the basis for the government to formulate industrial policies.(4)The agglomeration of producer services has a positive effect on the technological progress of manufacturing TFP.The Marshall and Jacobs externalities brought about by the specialization and diversification of producer services are important reasons for the advancement of manufacturing technology.The externalities of Marshall and Jacobs have a heterogeneous effect on the technological innovation of regional manufacturing.(5)Taking the information and communication technology industry(ICT)as an example,it is found that the overall manufacturing industry has relatively weaker ICT pulling effect.The interaction between ICT and the manufacturing industry as a whole is mainly reflected in the ICT penetration effect on the manufacturing industry.ICT industry agglomeration has a positive effect on the overall manufacturing output.The level of spatial concentration of ICT industry and professional agglomeration are superior to other regions in promoting the output of the eastern manufacturing industry.The diversified ICT industry clustering has become more prominent in the western manufacturing industry.In summary,the emerging industry development model that brings about a new round of technological revolution in the producer services industry is an excellent opportunity for China’s manufacturing industry to transform and upgrade.This article provides a logically self-consistent analytical framework for the research on the technology-related research of the producer services and manufacturing industries.The basic idea is to find ideas for the development of the manufacturing industry from the old kinetic energy to the new kinetic energy.Due to many restrictions,there are many deficiencies in the research work.At the end of the paper,the limitations of this paper and the prospects for future research are put forward.
