Analysis Of Farmer's Satisfaction On Pig Policy Insurance

As an important part of agriculture,pig farming is also affected by natural disasters,market risks,technological risks and institutional risks.In 2007,the State Council issued the ?State Council's opinions on promoting the development of pig production and stable market supply?.and the government of China has start to develop the Pilot work on Pig Policy Insurance in practice.At present,Chinese pig policy insurance is at a critical stage of development.Therefore,understanding and analyzing farmers' satisfaction with pig policy insurance can reflect the implementation effect of pig policy insurance.And it also can provide empirical evidence for further optimizing the implementation of pig policy insurance.This paper takes Jiangxi Province as an example,firstly combs the domestic and foreign related research results,then draws lessons from the research framework of the ACSI model in the United States,selects 15 variables,and puts forward the research hypotheses.Based on 366 valid data obtained from field research,this paper analyzes the farmers' satisfaction of pig policy insurance.Finally,constructs multiple ordered probit regression model and uses stata12.0 software system to study the influencing factors of farmers' satisfaction with pig policy insurance in Jiangxi province.The results show that :(1)the age and educational level of farmers have a significant negative impact on their satisfaction.(2)the farmers' understanding of pig policy insurance,their understanding of premium subsidy policies,and their trust in insurance companies,the perception of the rationality of insurance subsidy and the change of breeding income after purchasing pig policy insurance have a significant positive effect on farmers' satisfaction.Based on the conclusion of the study,this paper puts forward the relevant countermeasures and suggestions from three levels: farmers,government departments and insurance companies.As far as farmers are concerned,farmers should change their thinking and strengthen their awareness of risk prevention,participate in relevant training activities organized by government departments or public welfare departments,and seize the opportunity to join cooperative organizations and realize the sharing of resources.As far as government departments are concerned,it is necessary to improve and give full play to the administrative functions of the government.In the case of insurance companies,it is necessary to speed up the training of insurance personnel,improve the attitude and quality of insurance services,and at the same time innovate the variety of products and the mode of insurance.
