Research On The Antecedents Of Enterprise Standardization Innovation Behavior

Against today's backdrop that Chinese government emphasizes quality improvement behavior,taking enterprises as main body to accelerate standardization process and deepen standardization reform.Therefore,enterprises are increasingly aware of the importance of standardization,paying much attention to standardization innovation behavior.Enterprise standardization innovation behavior is to innovate current standardization situation,generating or implementing new idea or new behavior of standardization,like new standard,new technology or new process,so as to meet customers' needs and win competition advantages.To figure out the influence factors of enterprise standardization innovation is in urgency and of great worth.Therefore,our study tries to focus on the external and inner causes of this behavior.Based on social cognitive perspective,our study uses Theory of Planned Behavior as theoretical lenses to research on the influence process of enterprise's quality behavior attitude,quality behavior norm and perceived quality behavior control on its standardization innovation behavior.Our study tests the model based on 147 surveys collected from executives of manufacturing companies who have deep understanding of standardization.The findings indicate that both quality behavior attitude and perceived quality behavior control positively impact standardization innovation intention and standardization innovation behavior.Moreover,enterprise standardization innovation intention positively impacts its behavior.Specially,the intention mediates the relationship of quality behavior attitude and standardization innovation behavior,as well as perceived quality behavior control and standardization innovation behavior.This research indicates that enterprises of strong attitude,perceived behavioral control of quality behavior tend to conduct great standardization innovation intention and the behavior.Our study enables enterprises to better enhance their standardization innovation behavior.Also,the conclusion could give advice to government's corresponding policy formulation,which is of practical significance.
