The Influence Of Network Location On Patent Quality

Since 21st Century,the speed of technology innovation continues to accelerate,the formation of patent cooperation network has become an important way to improve the technological level and patent quality of enterprises.Also,the influence of network position cannot do without internal management feature and research ability.This paper argues what roles would network position,management feature and research ability be in the process of improving the quality of patent.By adopting 110 listed companies of A shares in the electronic component industry in China considering the lag effect,this paper use patent cooperation applicant of the 110 listed company in 2010-2012 to construct patent cooperation network,and calculate network related data by Ucinet.This paper also use data based on 2012 to calculate the result of management feature and research ability.And Construct patent quality index model by using bibliometric method,calculating patent quality index of enterprises based on 2015 data obtained.On this basis,a multiple linear regression model is constructed to test the proposed hypothesis.The results of the study show that:The superior network position has a positive impact on the quality of the enterprise patent.Some management features,including managerial feature,education level and share holding proportion,have a positive effect on the quality of patents.The age and salary level of management do not play a significant role in patent quality.Research abilitity has a positive impact on the quality of the patent.Management features(including management tenure,education level and the proportion of shares)and research ability play moderating roles.This paper studies the influence factors of the quality of patent from both internal and outside views,which provides a new perspective for the study of the influence factors of patent quality.And it provides new ideas for the enterprise to improve the quality of patent.
