Nowadays the telecom operators have evolved more and more complicated strategies and operation manners to deal with the fierce competition in the telecom market.To further subdivide its business,the China Telecom established the D-company as a subsidiary in Guangzhou in 2009.Employees are the core resource for a company that significantly contributes to the company's competitiveness.During the strategic development,the D-company has been caring about its employee development.However,in the past a few years the D-company has sensed a decline of employees' morale.Meanwhile,employees have placed a greater demand on the improvement of the human resource management in the company.Employee satisfaction(ES)is practically an indicator that reflects the happiness of employees and exposes problems in the human resource management.Therefore,this study is attempted to integrate qualitative and quantitative as well as theoretical and practical approaches to address the key question of how to increase ES by exploring factors affecting ES and strategies for ES improvement.This study is designed as follows: first,I will learn from existing literature and textbooks to understand the current status of ES research;second,I will interview representative employees from the company to narrow down possible factors that may shape the ES in this company;third,a questionnaire survey will be designed based on the interview results to cover related topics such as the job content and expectation,employee relationship,working environment,corporate culture,and future prospect.The survey will help collect comments and suggestions from the employees about current human resource management;finally,multiple-angle statistical analyses will be carried out on the interview and survey results,from which the most critical factors affecting ES can be clued.By using these rational research approaches,this study will comprehensively assess the ES in the D-company and find out effective strategies for ES improvement.It is expected that these strategies will ferment a healthy and harmonious working atmosphere,optimize the overall performance of the D-company and fortify its advantages in the market competition.The ultimate goal of this study is to provide feasible solutions to improve ES for the company,which in turn will greatly contribute to its sustainable growth.
