Analysis On The Evolution Of Potato Production Comparative Advantages Of Northern Region Of Yinshan Mountain In Inner Mongolia

As China's fourth-largest staple food,the potato has high value and wide range of usage.The northern region of Yinshan mountain in Inner Mongolia is the traditional advantageous origins of potatoes.Potato planting is an important source of income for local farmers.However,in recent years,the development of the potato industry has encountered obstacles,such as the decline in unit production,the increased disease,the fluctuation of seed quality.So,is there still a comparative advantage in potato production in the north of the Yinshan Mountain?Based on the relevant theory of comparative advantage,the evolution trend of comparative advantage of potato production in north Yinshan Mountain was studied in this thesis.First of all,the thesis analyzes analyzes potato production history from the year of 2000,and then uses the comparative advantage index method to analyze the scale advantages,efficiency advantages,and comprehensive advantages of potato production and finds that: First,The research area has a strong production scale and has a tendency to keep up;Second,The productivity advantage in the research area is weak,the fluctuations are large and tend to weaken;Third,The research area still has a strong comprehensive comparative advantage.Therefore,the key to improving the comparative advantages of potato production lies in promoting the improvement of its production efficiency advantage,and its production efficiency advantage is directly affected by the yield of potatoes.By using the multiple linear regression model,the factors that have significant influence on potato yield are: the health status of farmers,the number of land plots,irrigation methods,seed potato varieties,the amount of pesticides used,and farmland water conservancy infrastructure.In order to enhance the comparative advantages of potato production,this thesis proposes the following recommendations:First,strengthen the team of scientific and technological talents to accumulate development potential;Second,improve the efficiency of potato production,economize on intensive land use and innovate potato planting technology;Third,promote popularization of drip irrigation and improve industrial development efficiency;Fourth,optimize seed potato varieties and accelerate supply-side structural reforms;Fifth,using appropriate insecticides and develop new environmentally friendly pesticides;Sixth,consolidate the foundation of industrial development and upgrade the infrastructure such as irrigation and water conservancy.
