Globalisation of businesses has ushered in an era of intense competition among businesses. This has equally pressured organisations to modify their HRM systems in line with the global business dynamics. The Study was conducted to examine the extent to which globalisation influences Human Resources Management in the GIHOC Distilleries and Coca Cola Company Limited(CCCL)in Ghana. The Descriptive Research and Cross-Sectional Survey strategy was used in selecting 196 participants of the two Companies who were sampled using the Stratified Random Sampling method.15 Staff Members from each Company were used in pre-testing the instrument used for data collection. This revealed that the result was reliable and consistent.A self-administered structured questionnaire was then used to interview the respondents.Data were analysed using mean,Standard Deviation and Correlation. The Study found that most of the GIHOC and CCCL staff perceived the degree of Globalisation of businesses to be moderate and high, respectively. Most prominent among the drivers of business globalisation were political and social drivers for GIHOC and technological and economic drivers for CCCL.Political drivers were mostly seen in government's concerns and market regulations to protect local companies while social drivers were largely evident in the rising education, skills and competences in the global market. Also, the existing HRM systems of the Companies were rated as moderately and highly effective for GIHOC and CCCL,respectively.Specifically, the HRM systems on Employee Relations and Organisation Design were more pronounced for GIHOC while that of CCCL had Learning and Development and People Resourcing s ystems more dominant. Finally, the degree of Globalisation of businesses had high positive impact on the existing HRM systems of the Companies.Globalisation tended to have greater impact on GIHOC than CCCL.In view of the findings, the Thesis gives a numb er of conclusions and throws light on Government Perspective of HRM in Ghana for improving HRM systems especially,Learning and Development and People Resourcing or Recruitment and Selection with the view to improve the way businesses are conducted in Ghana. In conclusion, the existing drivers of Globalisation of businesses could serve as a guide for Human Resource Managers in reviewing their HRM systems in order to address these global dynamics.
