China has entered the critical period of industrialization and urbanization at present.Rational distribution of industrial enterprises is an important significance for promoting industrialization and rational construction of urban systems, and It has become a long-term concern for the academic community and the government. The industrial enterprises above designated size in the Sichuan-Chongqing region have developed rapidly but have been unevenly developed and inadequate. Therefore,it is necessary to deeply study the development pattern and spatial evolution of the industrial enterprises above designated size in the Sichuan-Chongqing area, which will help the industry optimize the layout and optimize the urban system in Chengdu-Chongqing area.We studied the development pattern and evolution law of industrial enterprises above designated size in the Sichuan-Chongqing area from 2001 to 2013 in accordance with the hierarchical logic of “spatial statistics-spatial analysis-cause analysis”.Kernel Density Estimation, clustering and outlier analysis,semi-variation method, and spatial econometric model are used to analyze the overall distribution of enterprises, the spatial distribution of different types of industries and different attributes, the characteristics of cold distribution, cold hot spots, correlation Range of changes and spatial evolution reasons. The research results show that: 1): the layout of industrial enterprises above designated size in Sichuan and Chongqing shows a development pattern of “double high, double low, multiple points and one corridor”.In 2007,the Sichuan-Chongqing region is still a dual-nuclear space development structure with an increase in the level of agglomeration.Sichuan's corporate agglomeration “core” moves to Chengdu's central urban area.Chongqing's agglomeration “core” moves to the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. In 2013,all the enterprises above designated size developed away from the main city, gathered core sports to the outskirts of the main city.2):The "Pingwu-Yanyuan" line is the industrial geographical division line of SichuanChongqing region 3):The scope of spatial correlation of enterprises experienced a process of contraction to expansion and The positive externalities of enterprise gathering are constantly increasing. The attractiveness of Chengdu and Chongqing's downtown area is growing and more and more companies are located between Chengdu and Chongqing. This has strongly promoted the development of the ChengduChongqing industrial belt and the urban system.4):Endogenous forces are the main reason for the change in the spatial distribution of enterprises above designated size and the role of external factors has increased and then decreased.Regional GDP,traffic accessibility, investment in fixed assets, and regional policies have a significant impact on the spatial distribution of industrial enterprises above designated size.5):General equipment manufacturing and automotive manufacturing are highly spatially clustered,There is no change in the spatial layout of the coal mining and washing industry and non-metallic mineral products industry.Chemical raw materials and chemical products are distributed in outskirts and economically backward areas.6): The spatial distribution of anthracite mining and washing industry has basically remained unchanged.Distribution of automobile parts and components manufacturing to the outside of the main city.7): The concentration density of state-owned holding companies has changed from high to low.The spatial distribution of collectivelycontrolled enterprises has a process of “dispersing-aggregating-dispersing”.The spatial structure of Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan investment holding companies evolved from a core-periphery structure to a decentralized layout and Entrepreneurs prefer to set up companies in Chongqing.8):The concentration of centrally managed companies continues to increase.
