Industry, as a support industry in china, is the dominant industry ofnational economy in China. Developing level of industry determines the levelof other industries’ development and even the entire national economy.Since the reform and open policy, China’s industry has obtainedgreat achievement. However, China’s industry is facing the problem of highenergy consumption, environment pollution and lack of innovation. Above all,China’s industry need to speed up the green transformation urgently, changeto an energy saving, environmental protection and innovation-driven model, andwalk out a sustainable growth path which can expand economy and also cansave resources and protect the environment. Therefore, green innovation hasbecome the inevitable choice of industrial enterprises to earn the place inmarkets and win the priority in the market battle.On the basis of research findings by predecessors, this paper takes theChina’s Industrial enterprises above designated size as the research object, andto summarize the related theory of green innovation. This paper summarizes themeaning of green innovation and the concept of green innovation efficiency,and establish a green innovation efficiency evaluation index system of industrialenterprise. Therefore, this paper measures industrial enterprise’s greeninnovation efficiency of30provinces with the data from2008to2012based onSBM model of undesired outputs, and using the coefficient of variation toanalyze the general difference. Finally, this paper uses spatial statistical analysisto explore the spatial distribution characteristics and the process of spacedynamic evolution of industrial enterprise’s green innovation efficiency inChina, which provides a basis for policy recommendations.The empirical results show that the innovation efficiency measurement results based on undesirable-SBM model are more actual. The average level ofindustrial enterprise’s green innovation efficiency is low. The regional differen-ce of industrial enterprise’s green energy efficiency is obvious. Green innovati-on efficiency according to the regional pattern of decrease from east to west.Coefficient of variation is decreasing, so it explains the development level ofgreen innovation comes to convergence from the time trend. There aresignificance spatial association in provincial industrial enterprise’s greeninnovation efficiency in China, which present the process of space dynamicevolution of provincial industrial enterprise’s green innovation efficiency inChina during the five years. At present, most of the provinces has formed astable spatial patter.There are three creative works in this article. The first is defining themeaning of green innovation and green innovation efficiency based on researchfindings by predecessors, and establishing a green innovation efficiencyevaluation index system that includes energy and environmental factors. Thesecond is taking spatial statistical analysis into account in the research of greeninnovation efficiency to make the analysis more stereo, scientific andcomparable.
