Inventory,for a long time,is a very important part of an enterprise,especially in today's personalized competition market,inventory management is not only the responsibility of the warehouse management department,but the result of the whole company supply chain upstream and downstream.A well managed enterprise can not only control the operating cost well,but also greatly improve the level of service to customers.With the speed of the process of industrialization in China,with the continuous progress of science and technology,the manufacturing capacity of domestic industrial enterprises has been greatly improved,and the phenomenon of overcapacity in the industry is constantly appearing.This is a serious waste of social resources and also a risk in economic development.In recent years,the state has constantly put forward "to the capacity to go to the stock",which marks the huge negative impact that the stock and the poor management of the stock have brought to the society and the enterprises.Taking C company as an example,this paper focuses on inventory management and optimization strategies.This paper first introduces the domestic and foreign status of purchasing and inventory management,the definition and function of inventory,introduces two kinds of inventory models and related management theories in detail,and emphasizes several common inventory management modes,such as traditional inventory management,JIT inventory management model,VMI inventory management model and so on.The industry should formulate its own purchasing inventory management mode according to its own characteristics and its position in the supply chain.On the basis of these theories,taking C company as an example,this paper analyzes the industry characteristics of the company,the position of the company brand in the industry,the brand sales model and the current inventory management mode,and lists the current situation of the storage turnover of C company in recent years and the excellent industry in the same industry by using the specific data analysis.The company's performance can clearly see the problems faced by C's current inventory turnover and the gap with its peers.Then,the author expounds the setting logic of the four large inventory of C company(cycle inventory,safe stock,inventory control and speculative stock),and analyzes the main reasons for the inventory.According to the guiding essence of lean management,JIT is set as the target of supply chain inventory management.The article gives the improvement measures from periodic inventory,regulation inventory,safe stock and speculative stock by combining the actual situation and characteristics of C company,and further detailed management details,and classify the company's products from the characteristics of the product.Different types,each of the different types of products are properly applied to the lean inventory management model to ensure timely delivery of products with the maximum capacity,while keeping inventory turnover within a reasonable range.Any management model has some limitations,which can not completely solve all the management needs of enterprises.This paper analyzes the problems from the perspective of internal factors,and puts forward countermeasures for improvement.Under the background of lean management,the research on the strategy of inventory management is based on the upstream and downstream of the whole supply chain.The market end of the sales oriented and the supplier end of the purchase need to cooperate closely and cooperate with each other,so that the optimization results of the whole chain can be promoted.Lean mode tells us that JIT(JUST IN TIME)is the ultimate goal;the early stage of JIT is supplier cooperation,customer needs and management are indispensable.Therefore,it is also a part of brand success for brand enterprises to make the best combination mode of inventory management and capacity management on the whole chain.In this paper,we study the inventory management with the idea of finding,analyzing and solving the problem.The innovation point is for the characteristics of different products and markets,and gives different management models and countermeasures.We hope to have some constructive help for brand enterprises,and wish domestic enterprises can have greater improvement in the management of enterprises.
