Research On The Interactive Study On The Characteristics Of Trade Partnerships Of The Countries Along The Belt And Road Initiative And The Impact On Merchandise Trade

Establishing a good trade partnership is of great significance to unimpeded trade among countries.Most countries promote trade cooperation by signing Regional Trade Agreement(RTA)to conclude trading partnership.At the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation helded in 2017,the Chinese government signed agreements on economic and trade cooperation with 30 governments,and reached a consensus on "Enlarge industrial investment and Achieve unimpeded trade".The proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative undoubtedly has created a new platform for economic globalization and free trade,and provided an opportunity for related countries to realize “mutual benefit and win-win”.Therefore,we will Comb trade partnerships among countries along the Belt and Road Initiative and analyze the impact of these trade partnerships on trade.And we will explore policy path to promote the Belt and Road countries from the perspective of construction and optimization of inter-state trade partnerships.The policy path of unimpeded trade is of positive significance to the in-depth implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.On the one hand,this paper analyzes the characteristics of trade partnership and trade structure of countries along the Belt and Road Initiative during 2005 and 2015.The analysis finds that:(1)FTA is the main form of The Belt and Road countries' trade partnership,and its construction level is significantly lower than the global average level;(2)The Belt and Road countries' overall development of trade partnership is not balanced,and the development level of inter-area trade partnership is quicker than intra-area;(3)The internal trade structure and foreign trade structure of the Belt and Road countries are all showing imbalances state,but all have a good trend;(4)76.30% of the Belt and Road countries have complementary trade relations,and the trade complementarity are gradually increasing.On the other hand,this paper uses the QAP method test the impact of trade partnerships among countries along the Belt and Road Initiative on trade flows and their specific industries.The main findings are:(1)PSA,FTA and CU all have significant trade creation effects,but there were significant differences among them;(2)According to the depth of agreements and extension of time,the trade creation effects of PSA,FTA and CU will become more obvious;(3)the trading partnership will promote the optimization of the trade structure,and the effect will increase while the level of trade relations increases;(4)The distances,the GDP,and the trade partnership among countries along the Belt and Road Initiative have the greatest impact on chemical products,mechanical and electrical products,and plastics,rubber,and their products.Based on the research,this paper believes that countries along the Belt and Road Initiative should actively overcome distance obstacles,develop both from breadth and depth,and establish a network of trade relations to realize more balanced and stable trade.Second,choose right countries to establish suitable trade partnerships so that trade partnerships can play their greatest role.Finally,China,as the initiator of the Belt and Road Initiative,and as a trading power of countries along the Belt and Road Initiative,should focus on developing trade partnerships with other countries and finally promoting the realization of the "One Belt and One Road".
