In response to the complicated market environment and to keep constant innovation freshly,an increasing number of enterprises attach importance to employees' opinions and suggestions to a high degree.Both from theory research and management practitioner perspectives,employees' voice behavior is proved to contribute to enterprise performance and innovation.The outcome variables of employee organizational citizenship behavior(OCB)such as voice behavior are influenced by motivation hidden behind behavior.As one type of positive psychological states,work engagement could positively predict employees' loyalty?work efficiency and the whole performance.As a result,the antecedent variables of work engagement attract more attention.Voice behavior embodies the willingness to participate in organizational management.The research in the outcomes of voice behavior,especially when the outcome variable is about employees' proactive behaviors,is quite deficient.This research intends to take employee work engagement as the outcome variable to explore how the employee voice behavior has an impact on the following day's workplace behavior himself or herself according to daily method.This research begins to comb the literature about relevant constructs,point out the deficiency of the relationship between voice behavior and work engagement.Nextly,we propose the theoretical model of this study.Thirdly,we analyzed the data with the statistical softwares such as SPSS?AMOS and HLM,aiming to verify the hypothesis.The statistical data shows that:(1)Compared with prohibitive voice,promotive voice is more likely to be positively related to an employee's following day's work engagement.(2)Employee voice motive of organization concern moderates the intra-individual level relationship between promotive voice and following day's work engagement such that the relationship is more positive when the voice motive of organization concern is high rather than it is low.(3)Employee voice motive of impression management moderates the intra-individual level relationship between prohibitive voice and following day's work engagement such that the relationship is positive only when his/her voice motive of impression management is high.Finally,this paper discusses the conclusion,points out the lack of research and prospects the future research direction.
