In the 1980 s and 1990 s,the new round of regional and sub-regional cooperation in the world tide grew prosperously.China is also involved in geo-economic cooperation in different areas and different levels. In these fields of economic cooperation, the phenomenon of China's grain geo-economy is so impressive.China's grain geo-economy has made connections between domestic market and international market, domestic resource and internationalresource, and is meaningful for releasing pressure on Arable land and protecting food security. However, under the open environment,China's grain geo-economyfaces a complex environment. In the context of coexistence of economic cooperation and friction,it means a lot to the adjustment of food security strategy and protection of national arable land that we assess the geographical context and strategic resources, and adopt global view. There are abundant research results about international food and China's grain tradeat home and abroad, but most of them are based on the single subject of international trade, that is,using economic factors to explain the economic phenomenon.geography and geographical environment factors not involved.Based on the basic logic that China's grain trade belongs to world geo-economics,this thesis introduces the same research framework and paradigm into the study of determinants of China's grain trade.Making use of the existing theory in geo-economics and international trade,we have selected 12 indicators from three aspects,ie.,natural environment, economic environment, social environment,to build the theoretical analysis framework of the determinants of China's grain trade, and to provide theoretical support to the empirical study. On this basis,we describe the data of China's global grain trade data in the year 2015,and use the panel data model and cross-sectional data model to identify the determinants of China's grain trade based on the variable system we set up on the above. After theoretical analysis and empirical analysis, the thesisgives some viable and scientific suggestions. This thesis combines normative research and empirical research. This thesis includes five parts. The introductionchapteris mainly aboutthe background and significanceof the research, the content and the method, the currentresearch statusat home and abroad and assessment, the innovation and the deficiency of this thesis. The second chapter is the theoretical foundation. This thesis introduce the basic theory, mainly including the theory of geo-economics and international trade as the basic theory of determinants of grain geo-economics and trade. The third chapter is theoretical analysis. This thesis makes use of theoretical foundation to discuss the determinants of China's grain geo-economy and trade. The fourth chapter is empirical analysis of the determinants of China's grain geo-economy and trade. This chapter mianly describes global the scale and distribution of China's grain geo-economy,and then conducts the empirical analysis. The fifth chapter includes the main conclusion, suggestions about policy and research prospect. The possible innovations of this thesis are the research field and the research perspective. The lack of the researches on the determinants of grain geo-economy and trade at home and abroad provides the possibility of breakthrough of this thesis.
