A Study On The Evolution Of China's Export Pattern (1992-2015)

China's exports has experienced spectacular increases from 1992.China becomes a big exporter,but not a export powerhouse.Meanwhile,Chinese export growth presented phased characteristics around joining the WTO and financial crisis.If Chinese export pattern also presented phased characteristics? What's the reference significance to the transformation of Chinese export in the next stage? That's what the thesis focuses on.Using China's joining the WTO and financial crisis as two demarcation point,dividing 1992-2015 into three stages: the oscillatory period(1992-2000),the fast-growing period(2001-2007)and the post-crisis period(2008-2015)of China's export,the thesis studied the evolution of export pattern from three characteristics of export: export structure,export specialization and the driving factors of export.The results show that the pattern of China's export is evoluting over time.The pattern of China's export of 1992-2000 is as follows: HK is the main export market,labor-intensive products are the main export products and comparative advantage products;physical capital mainly drives export of labor and capital-intensive industries,physical and human capital mainly drives export of technology-intensive industries.2001-2007: USA is the main export market,labor and capital-intensive products are the main export products and comparative advantage products;physical capital and technology mainly drives export of capital-intensive industries,physical capital mainly drives export of labor-intensive industries and technology mainly drives export of technology-intensive industries.2008-2015: USA is the main export market,capital and technology-intensive products are the main export products and comparative advantage products;physical and human capital mainly drives export of labor-intensive industries,physical capital and technology mainly drives export of capital-intensive industries,technology mainly drives export of technology-intensive industries.Meanwhile,the thesis makes some recommendations according to our national conditions for the transformation of Chinese export to a better status in the next stage.
