Our society has entered a knowledge-based era in the 21st century.Knowledge,gradually replacing the traditional factors of production such as labor,capital and land,has become the most important core resource of an enterprise.And only knowledge can sustain the lasting advantage of competition of an enterprise(Nonaka,1995)[1].Knowledge sharing strategy has been introduced by more and more enterprises and become the major means of improving the advantage of competition of an enterprise in its industry.With the characteristics of personalized,subjective,based on long-term experience and hard to express,tacit knowledge defines the level of knowledge sharing of an enterprise.And tacit knowledge management has become the central issue of the sustainable development of an enterprise.From view of the advantage of competition,tacit knowledge,as the source of core competitiveness of an enterprise,is obviously more important than the explicit knowledge[20].BJGS Water Company,founded in 1992,is a comprehensive environmental protection enterprise.Its core business is water treatment,and the treatments of industrial wastewater and municipal wastewater are its two main businesses.Based on its first-class water treatment technology and project management experience,BJGS provides integrated water treatment solutions including project preliminary consultation,design,general construction and operation for different industries.With more than 20 years experience in the environmental protection industry,BJGS has cultivated many experienced water treatment project managers and technicians.Their tacit knowledge play an important role for improving the advantage of competition and the service quality of the company.In this paper,the tacit knowledge sharing of BJGS water company has been studied in both theory and practice and it can provide practical reference for other water companies in tacit knowledge management.In this paper,the research status on tacit knowledge management and sharing in the domestic and overseas was summarized,and the meaning,classification and characteristics of tacit knowledge and the value of tacit knowledge sharing were analyzed,providing an theoretical basis for this study.According to the situation of BJGS company and through expert interview and questionnaire survey,the status of tacit knowledge management in BJGS water company was explored and the factors impacting the effect of tacit knowledge sharing were studied.And based on the key factors which can impact the tacit knowledge sharing in BJGS company,a tacit knowledge sharing model was developed,a quality assessment index system was set,and an tacit knowledge assessment model for BJGS water company was built.Taking the tacit knowledge sharing situation of BJGS water company in 2012 as an example,it also proved that the fuzzy comprehensive assessment method can be used to evaluate the tacit knowledge sharing in BJGS water company.And an incentive mechanism to improve the tacit knowledge sharing in BJGS water company was developed.It also can provide a strong basis for the tacit knowledge sharing management for BJGS water company.
