The Research On Consumption Structure Of The Urban And Rural Residents In Shanghai And Its Affecting Factors

In recent years,due to the influence of the global financial crisis,while the investment and export demand were descending simultaneously,the insufficient consumer demand has been the key factor of preventing our rapid economic development.Thus,in the 12^th Five-Year Plan and13^th Five-Year Plan,our nation had made expanding domestic consumption demand,enhancing the fuel economic growth of consumption as current development goals.The residents'consumption structure is the core content of consumption economics and the important component of economic structure;It demonstrates the structure of residents'demand for various commodities.Consequently,Research on the characteristics and rules of the residents'consumption structure is a must to stimulate the residents'consumption demand,and also have an important significance to guide the residents'reasonable consumption,promote the healthy development of consumption structure,and drive the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure.This paper makes the consumption structure of urban and rural residents in shanghai as research subject,analyzes the characteristics,the diversity and affecting factor of consumption structure of urban and rural residents in shanghai by using descriptive statistics,ELES Model and PLSR Model,and puts forward some policy proposal according to analytical conclusion.Firstly,based on the large amount of data and literatures,this paper makes the descriptive analysis of the variation trend of consumption structure,income level and consumption level of urban and rural residents in shanghai;from the angle of urban and rural areas,comparatively analyzes the diversity of consumption structure in the different areas and with different income level.Secondly,this paper makes the empirical research on consumption structure of urban and rural residents in shanghai by using ELES Model,and analyzes the characteristics and diversity of consumption structure from basic consumer expenditure,MPC,income elasticity and self-price elasticity in four ways.Besides,this paper builds the PLSR model between all kinds of consumption expenditure of urban and rural residents and Standardization of 18 dependent variable indicators,and analyzes the influence of various indicators on the consumption expenditure and consumption structure of Urban and Rural residents.At last according to the analytical conclusion,it points out the subsistent problems of consumption structure of urban and rural residents in shanghai,and offers the relative policy proposal.
