Pubei-putaogou region,located in the upper-plate of the Flora Mountain fault of the Turpan-Hami Basin,closing to Shengbei hydrocarbon generation depression,with good regional location and rich oil and gas resources,is extremely favorable oil and gas exploration area.However,with the development of oil and gas exploration,the probability of large-scale structural reservoir is getting smaller and smaller.The non-structural reservoirs,such as tectonic-lithologic reservoirs and stratigraphic lithologic reservoirs,will be the focus of the next step of oil and gas exploration in the study area.The paper is based on the "two width and one height" 3D seismic data of the Pubei-putaogou region.The fine structure interpretation for Qiketai group of Jurassic System has been completed.And the structural shape and fault characteristics are studied.Then the features of paleotopography of the accumulation stages and the sedimentary facies in the study area are analyzed with seismic,drilling and well logging,geological data,and the favorable area for the development of non structural traps,for example,the structural lithologic and stratigraphic lithologic traps,is pointed out.The sand body in the favorable region is identified and finely described by the reservoir prediction technology,such as spectrum simulation inversion technique.The structural lithologic traps are identified with the structural features and the sand distribution.Finally the traps are optimized combined with the reservoir forming conditions,the reservoir prediction results and hydrocarbon detection results.Comprehensive analysis shows that the Pubei-putaogou region of the upper-plate of the Flora Mountain fault of the Turpan-Hami Basin is high in southwest and low in northeast,it is surrounded by steep and the center region of flat trend with local low amplitude uplift;Most of the faults are NW-SE,and some NE-SW faults is developed in a crisscross pattern with NW-SE faults in the eastern slope area.The fault systems are complex.The northeast slope area and the north and the south extension line of the low-amplitude structure of central area are the favorable exploration region for structural-lithologic reservoirs.In the favorable exploration area,seven sets of sand bodies are distinguished,and three structure-lithologic traps are newly discovered with a total area of 4.09km2.The trap,located in south of the 9 well of Pubei,is the best with consideration.And the suggestion of exploration well is put forward.It lays the foundation for further exploration and development of the Pubei-putaogou region of the upper-plate of the Flora Mountain fault.
