With the continuous growth of the city in recent years and the shortage on space resources,underground space development has now become one of the trends to expand the urban space worldwide.As a part of urban space,underground buildings and structures play an important role in leading the urban space development,optimizing structure of urban space,coordinating overall sustainable development of the city and guaranteeing city's public disaster prevention.Building an underground space management system is crucial for centralized management of underground space resources,facilitating urban resources sharing and city's construction planning,and serves as key reference to improving city planning and resource protection and management.For the purpose of ascertaining Kunming's current underground space in total and service condition,underground space general investigation of Kunming's key areas was carried out with Kunming's urban renewal projects at present to selecting suitable database platform for building reasonable underground space database,providing a supportive basis for developing Kunming's underground space resources and planning underground space in the future.It can not only relieve urban traffic jam,but also lays a data basis for long-term planning and development of Kunming's underground space resources.On the basis of the “underground space general investigation of Kunming” project,investigation data of underground buildings and structures of Kunming was used as basic data in this paper.Based on the understanding on relevant measuring technique system in the whole project of general investigation on buildings and structures in underground space,in-depth analysis was conducted on current temporary database.Underground space database was built by employing Oracle database technology,and underground space database management system was designed and implemented through ArcEngine component-based development technology.The main contents and innovation are shown as below:1.Relevant information on urban underground space informatization construction and management was sorted,underground space conceptual model,physical model and logical model were designed by combining the current underground space investigation data of Kunming,experience and data management needs of Kunming Surveying and Mapping Institute in carrying out underground space investigation work in recent years,and on the basis of current underground space data,providing a detailed structural system for data storage and management.2.A standardized underground space database system was established to ensure the quality of database construction.Enterprise geographic information database was built by employing ArcSDE for Oracle 11 g.It provided guarantee for the function developments including development project analysis,and supporting decision-making for underground space data management system.3.In the process of system database construction,in-depth analysis was conducted on underground space database content,process and implementation based on the Geodatabase data model.By applying the current ArcGIS software platform and Oracle 11 g database,and the C/S architecture mode,underground space data database and storage,data update,data management were designed with combing the data quality inspection module based on Feature Manipulate Engine software.Each subsystem was independent and providing specific technical support according to different needsIn summary,ArcSDE for Oracle 11 g large relational database was employed in this project to establish an underground space buildings and structures database,and a data management system for underground space buildings and structures was built based on C# for ArcEngine component-based development technology.Underground space data quality management module was studied by combining with Canadian data format conversion software Feature Manipulate Engine.
