This dissertation is comprised of four chapters. The first chapter described the immunosuppressive compounds published in 2001-2016.The chemical consituents of Epigynum auriyum together with the immunosuppressive activity evaluation of the new compounds have been systematacially studied.Phytochemical investigation of Epigynum auritum led to the isolation and identification of 13 new compounds along with 21 known compounds. The structure of all the compounds were elucidated by means of spectroscopic analysis(ID,2D NMR,MS,UV,IR,X-ray)as well as comparison with the reported data. The immunological activities of the new compounds were sevaluated against concanavalin A(Con A)-stimulated proliferation of mice splenocyte in vitro. These new compounds including three androstand(1-3).And three pregnane glycosides(4-6),which had the oxygenated ring D.Compounds 7-11 were identified as C21 pregnane glycosides.Compound 12 was identified as a novel 16,17-seco pregnane glycoside, compound 13 was a triterpenoid saponin. And all new pregnane glycosides and triterpenoid saponin were taken by acid hydrolysis to ensure the absolute configuration.Meanwhile,in this thesis by lymphocyte transformation test in mice, these compounds which were isolated and identified from Epigynum auritum were researched of immunosuppressive activity.Study has found that most of the new compounds has certain immunosuppressive activity compared with the positive control(dexamethasone).Compounds 5 and 13 exhibited exceptionally potent immunosuppressive activities at the concentration of 12.5?M.Compounds 1?3?4?6?7?9.10 and 12 displayed significant immunosuppressive activities at the concentration of 25?M while the compounds 2?8?11 at the concentration of 50?M.
