With the development and advancement of technology,people's requirements for the quality and appearance of clothing are also increasing.Polyester-cotton blended fabrics have good performance.Polyester fabrics are durable,wrinkle-free and non-irony.Cotton fabrics are comfortable to wear and have good moisture absor:ption.Polyester-cotton blend fabrics combine the advantages of both,so they are sold well in the market.However,the polyester-cotton fabric is easy to pilling,which seriously affects the appearance and performance of the fabric.Huafang Co.,Ltd.is a comprehensive textile printing and dyeing enterprise.During the operation of the company,it was found that the pilling of fabrics is an important factor affecting the aesthetics of fabrics.In the process of textile production,if the performance of pilling is not enough,it is necessary to return the product to the factory,which increases the cost of the company and affects the efficiency of the enterprise.Therefore,in view of the above situation,this paper selects the polyester fiber and cotton fiber of Huafang Co.,Ltd.to test and analyze its anti-pilling performance after spinning and weaving.The factors affecting the pilling performance of polyester/cotton fabrics were studied.Combined with the actual production conditions of the factory,the anti-pilling performance was improved on the basis of ensuring the eco-friendly and excellent performance of polyester/cotton fabrics.Since the experiment is based on the improvement of the original polyester/polyester fabric of the factory,only the twist,the spinning method,the warp and weft density of the fabric,and the singeing process can be changed within the range of factors that can be changed.Firstly,the process and mechanism of pilling of polyester-cotton blended fabrics were studied.The process of pilling was observed by scanning electron microscopy.The test and evaluation methods of fabric pilling are summarized.The test method of this subject is to use the Martindale method to calculate the pilling degree of the fabric by calculating the number of hair balls on the surface of the fabric.Secondly,the basic properties of yarns with different twists were tested.As the twist increased,the hairiness of the yarn decreased,the strength increased first and then decreased,and the uniformity of the strip increased.At the same time,the pilling performance of the polyester-cotton fabric was tested,and it was found that the twist improved the pilling,but the handling performance and appearance properties of the polyester-cotton fabric were deteriorated.The best twist was determined by the bodra comprehensive evaluation method to be 750 T/m.Thirdly,by changing the spinning method to study the pilling of polyester/cotton fabrics,the effects of four spinning methods of ring spinning,compact spinning,siro spinning and siro spinning on the yarn properties and fabric pilling performance were investigated..The experimental results show that the siro compact spinning is superior to the other three spinning methods in all aspects.Finally,the effects of warp and weft density of polyester/cotton fabric on fabric strength and pilling performance were studied.The results showed that the fabric tightness was increased and the pilling resistance was improved.The tightness increases the gas permeability,the moisture permeability first increases and then decreases,and the fabric feels worse.Find out the best warp and weft density is 393x185(root/10cm),explore the effect of singeing of polyester/cotton fabric on pilling,and observe that the polyester fiber will not bond after singeing through TM3030.In summary,when the twist is 750T/m,the spinning method is siro compact spinning,and the polyester/cotton fabric with a warp and weft density of 393×185(root/10cm)has the best performance in all aspects after singeing.
