In hot summer days,textlies with cool touch are essential for consumers,such as mats and cool T-shirts.Since the skin temperature is usually higher than the fabric,the moment the fabric comes into contact with human skin,heat will be transferred from the skin to the fabric.The heat of the human body absorbed by the instant contact fabric and the amount of human body heat continuously transmitted by the fabric determines the initial contact coolness of the fabric and the strength of the steady heat transfer performance.Based on the heat flow type coolness tester,this paper studied the evaluation method of fabric coolness test,the classification of fabric coolness,and improved the cooling feel of polyethylene material.The details are as follows:Firstly,we explored the test methods and experimental parameters of the heat flow fabric coolness tester.The test clarifies the time drift,reproducibility and sensitivity of the instrument,indicating that the instrument has good accuracy.The experimental study determined the test parameters such as ambient temperature and humidity,wind speed,test sample size,probe temperature,thermal insulation board type,steady state heat transfer balance time,etc,and established a standardized fabric cooling test method.Secondly,according to the test method of the heat flow type coolness tester and the evaluation index of the cool feeling of the fabric,the woven and collected various fabrics were tested for coolness and grade.The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was used to objectively classify the coolness level indicators,and the subjective evaluation level classification of the participants was carried out.The results show that the classification of the coolness level of the fabric by the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is in good agreement with subjective evaluation of the cooless level of fabric.And we established the cooling level?corresponding contact instantaneous heat flux density maximum and steady state heat flux density level range.Finally,the preliminary exploration and improvement of the cooling properties of high molecular weight polyethylene were carried out.By means of solution blending,a material such as jade powder,tungsten carbide,boron carbide or the like is added to polyethylene,and the solvent is removed to obtain a PE sheet composite material.The heat flux density,specific heat capacity,density,and thermal conductivity of PE sheet composites were investigated.As a result,it was found that the PE sheet composite material to which the jade powder and the tungsten carbide were added has a good cooling effect.This result provides data support for the improvement of the thermal conductivity of polyethylene filaments.The established coolness test method and the evaluation and division of the coolness level are of guiding significance for regulating the coolness textile market and guiding consumers to purchase relevant coolness products.An improved exploration of the cooling performance of PE provides data support for the improvement of contact cool fabrics.
