| As a great production and export country,China has abundant energy reserves.However,China’s energy consumption is dominated by coal.Combined with lower energy efficiency,which brings great challenges to the sustainable development of environment and economy.In 2010,China,s total economic output surpassed that of Japan,ranking second in the world.The energy and environmental problems brought about by the rapid economic development are more serious.Northwest China is located in the inland of Northwest China.Its area is about 1/3 of the total area of China.It is rich in resources and fragile in ecology.The coordinated development of Energy-Environment-Economy system is of great significance to the development of Northwest China.On the basis of studying the existing classical literature,this paper combs the relationship among energy,environment and economic system,which is a huge and complex system.There is a close relationship,which promotes and restricts-each other,between the three systems.It is very important for the developnent of Northwest China to grasp the relationship among them.In this paper,the degree of interaction between two systems and three systems is described by coupling degree,and the degree of coordinated development between two systems and three systems is defined by the concept of coupling coordination degree.Firstly,the paper evaluates the comprehensive development of energy,environment and economic subsystems of the five provinces in the Northwest China,and the three systems show a progressive development trend.Then,the coupling and coordinated development of the two and three systems are measured.On the whole,the coupling degree is in a high level of coupling,and the coupling coordination degree has experienced a fluctuating process from low to high.By 2016,the northwest region has basically achieved a good coordinated development of the two and three systems.By analyzing the coupling coordination degree of the two systems and three systems in Northwest China,we can see that the economic subsystem restrained the coordinated development of the energy-environment system in 2004-2010,and the economic subsystem promoted the coordinated development of the energy-environment system in 2011-2016.From 2004 to 2007,the development of environmental subsystem promoted the coordinated development of energy-economy system.From 2008 to 2010,the impact was negligible.From 2011 to 2016,the development of environmental subsystem restrained the coordinated development of energy-economy system.In 2004-2015,the energy subsystem promoted the coordinated development of the environment-economy system.In 2016,the role of energy subsystem changed from promoting to inhibiting.Finally,the main factors affecting the coordinated development of Energy-Environment-Economy system in Northwest China are analyzed,and policy recommendations are put forward. |
