Vinylon fibre is an environmentally-friendly and high-performance fiber with high strength and high modulus.It has excellent properties such as corrosion,aging and UV resistance.Furthetmore,it has been used as the reinforcing phase of composite materials and adheres to the matrix,but poor dispersibility in composites.Therefore,surface modification method is necessary to improve the dispersion properties of the composite material.At present,there are few reports on the research of Vinylon reinforcing agent abroad because the independent research and development of intellectual property rights is not open to the outside world,the preparation process is complicated,inherent high cost,which greatly limits industrial application in the composite material.In view of the above problems,in order to improve the dispersion properties of Vinylon fibre and improve the mechanical properties of the cement-based composite,a water-soluble Vinylon fibre reinforcing agent was independently designed and developed with high affinity according to the characteristics of Vinylon fibre.Firstly,a water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol phosphate(TFOPVA)with simple process was prepared by directly selecting polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)resin as raw material,and phosphate ester(8102P)was added to be appropriately modified.The optimum reaction process was finally determined by testing the water solubility and contact angle as follow:PVA(1788)and 8102P were used as raw materials,reaction time was 4.5 h,reaction temperature was 185°C,and feed ratio was 1:4.At the same time,the product was characterized by infrared and nuclear magnetic structure,and the particle size,acid and alkali resistance and thermodynamic properties of the modified emulsion were analyzed.The results show that TFOPVA reinforcing agent has perfect acid and alkali resistanc,thermodynamic stability and narrow particle distribution range.When the emulsion concentration is 1.0wt%,the best effect is obtained.Secondly,in order to explore the relationship between the interfacial properties and dispersion of Vinylon fibre,TFOPVA was used for the treatment as modified materials.The optimum dispersion conditions for TFOPVA was 1.0 wt%and the adsorption amount was 5 mg/g.The surface morphology,group changes and monofilament strength of the Vinylon fibres before and after modification were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and fiber tensile strength meter(XQ-1A).The results show that TFOPVA can be uniformly distributed on Vinylon fibre surface,the surface friction coefficient were repaired,the hydroxyl content were reduced,the monofilament breaking strength and the fiber dispersion performance were effectively improved.Finally,the composites were prepared by using Vinylon fibre as reinforcing materials and cement as matrix.The mechanical properties of the composities were characterized by universal material testing machine,and the effect of staple fibre on the fluidity of cement was discussed.Results the fluidity of the fiber is the best when the content of short-staple Vinylon fibre is 0.9 kg/m~3 and the length is 10mm.The compressive strength and flexural strength of the modified Vinylon fibre reinforced composite are higher 27.9%and 21.2%than before.It is indicated that TFOPVA reinforcing agent can be comfortably applied to composite materials and industrialization.
