As an important part of the radio fuze device,the performance of antenna is very important.Since the front part of the bullet is occupied by correcting components,the fuze antenna should be installed in somewhere else like the ending,which require the beam to transmit from the side to the front.In order to reduce the antenna size and improve the gain and bandwidth,and further more to control the beam width,we develop a new way to load an artificial electronmagnetic structure on the conformal antenna array to design a conformal antenna with fuze cylinder.Three related papers have been published and a civil patent has been applied.The main contents are as follows:The miniaturized microstrip antenna working on 35GHz and 5.8GHz are designed by loading the artificial electromagnetic structure on the microstrip antenna.The Q value of the antenna is reduced by changing the floor structure of antenna to increase the bandwidth.The bandwidth of the fabricated antenna is 21.6%and the patch size reduce 53.4%compared with the original one.The microstrip line is used as the absorbed load in designing the traveling arrays,which reduces the design difficulty effectively.The deflection of the main beam of the array antenna is realized by controlling the spacing of the elements and artificial electromagnetic structure.The E-plane main lobe width is controlled by changing the number of line array elements.A miniaturized and wideband 1×8 microstrip series fed array antenna is designed.Based on the influence of the number of 1×8 sub-arrays on the H-plane beam width,a miniaturized and wideband 2×8 planar array antenna in 5.8GHz is designed,the bandwidth is up to 23.7%,the angel between main lode and the plane of array is 29°,and the main lobe width of E plane is 21.8°,H plane is 49.7°,the maximum gain is 11.46dB.The plane array antenna meets the requirements of the project.Based on the principle of cylindrical conformal antenna,a miniaturized wideband directional conformal antenna array with linearly polarized rectangular patch is designed,which can realized the beam deflection of the antenna.Microstrip power divider feeding network is designed to feed the 2×8 conformal antenna array.The measurement results show that the size of the conformal array is reduced by 51.8%,and the relative bandwidth is 34.8%,the angle between the main beam and the carrier axis is 29.3°,the main lobe width of the E plane and H plane are 19°×50.9°,and the gain of antenna is 7.6dB respectively.
