With the increase of SUV model quantity in automobile market,luggage rack has become an important component of automobile.The automobile luggage rack has the function of decoration and loading.The one-piece luggage rack has to meet the requirements of curve construction of roof,installation performance and extended performance of consumers,etc.There are high requirements for the stretching and bending arc,many machining surfaces and holes,and complex production technology.The two key difficulties in the development of integrated luggage rack are the stretching and bending of the main body of aluminum rod,forming the matching surface of aluminum rod and the numerical control machining of holes.This paper takes the one-piece luggage rack as the research object,analyzes its main forming technology,studies and sets the cold bending forming process parameters and the numerical control programming of five-axis numerical control machine tool processing.Firstly,the research status and forming technology of automobile luggage rack are analyzed.According to the design structure of one-piece luggage rack,the production process is worked out.For the key project of one-piece luggage rack manufacturing:cold drawing and bending forming and profile processing,develop suitable processing technology and equipment.Secondly,through the profile material characteristics and design shape analysis,we need to develop suitable profile bending die,make accurate profile bending process parameters,and finally finish aluminum rod bending process of debugging and mass production.Then,the application of tool track and post processing is used to realize the processing of aluminum rod of luggage rack by five-axis machine tool.The machining parameters are used to set the tool path of high quality,and the accuracy and suitability of the tool data are verified by simulation,so as to complete the pre-processing of numerical control programming based on UG.Then,through the UG/Post Builder general postprocessor basic Settings,complete the postprocessing creation.Finally,production debugging and process optimization were carried out.Based on the benefit analysis and quality evaluation,combined with the advantages of draw-bending equipment and five-axis machining center in automobile mold/parts processing,the application of draw-bending equipment and five-axis machining center in automobile parts manufacturing should be promoted.The research on the application of the forming technology of the integrated luggage rack has certain reference value for the development of the spare parts of the following models in the automotive plant and the development of the modified parts in the after-sales market.
