Ledoux's Structural Rationalism Thought And Design Research

In the seventeenth to eighteenth centuries,there was a sensational movement of the Enlightenment.The "rational worship" thought of the Enlightenment provided the framework for the later French Revolution.During this period,a profound revolution took place in the construction industry.Their design ideas were bold and forward-looking and profoundly influenced by modern and post-modern architecture.The title of “revolutionary architect” was born.Among the "revolutionary architects",the most influential ones are Claude Nicholas Ledu and his master Etienne Louis.As a designer,Ledu has many outstanding design works in architectural design and urban planning.Some of them are finally put into construction.However,some are just on paper,but it is undeniable that Ledu is like to build.,like innovation.In the writing of this paper,through the translation and collation of foreign research materials,using literature analysis,case analysis,summary and other methods to demonstrate the structural rational design ideas used by Ledu in design,trying to be in his design works.To find the source of his structural rationalist design ideas,he finally tried to discover his influence and inspiration on modern and post-modern architecture.
