The Evolution, Protection And Utilization Of The Buildings In The Republic Of China On The Suiyuan Campus Of Nanjing Normal University

Suiyuan campus of Nanjing Normal University is the former site of Ginling College.It adopts the traditional Chinese palatial architectural form and integrates the western architectural concept.It represents the new style of Chinese and western architecture advocated by Chinese missionary universities in the early 20th century and has important historical and artistic values.Through the methods of literature collection and field visit,this paper summarizes the historical evolution,layout and current situation of Minguo buildings in suiyuan campus of Nanjing Normal University.From the perspective of historical evolution,Minguo buildings in suiyuan campus were built in 1922.It has experienced many historical stages,such as the establishment of the international security zone,the Japanese occupation,the resumption of school,and the founding of new China.From the perspective of layout,the Minguo buildings of suiyuan campus are distributed symmetrically according to the central axis,where the big lawn and building 100 are located.In view of the current situation,the use,display and protection of the buildings in the Minguo buildings in the campus are relatively good,but there are still some problems due to the influence of nature and human,such as peeling of the wall,fading of the buildings,color deviation,incomplete repair,insufficient display,and man-made damage.According to the investigation and analysis,combined with the previous research results,the corresponding improvement suggestions are put forward:in view of the problems existing in the protection of Minguo buildings,we should formulate special laws and regulations,establish the scientific concept of historic campus protection,regularly repair and maintenance,and learn from successful cases.In view of the problems in exhibition,we should gradually change the current situation of small exhibition scope and little exhibition content.We should work out a plan and establish a planning and construction coordination organization;Consolidate the foundation,as soon as possible to launch the republic of China building historical and cultural resources of in-depth investigation and study;Delimit the scope of core protection;The exhibition contents are set up to make full use of the cultural resources of the republic of China;To establish and gradually improve the exhibition website of architecture in the Minguo buildings;Extensive historical and cultural interpretation and display facilities;We will continue to explore the cultural connotation of historical buildings in the campus and build a cultural area with historical buildings in the park.
