The Barrier-free Design Of Existing Community Public Spaces Under The Intervention Of Sensory Compensation

Community outdoor public space is an important material space carrier for daily life activities of community residents.With the rapid development of the urban process in Shenzhen,the problem of single,obsolete,and imperfect construction of facilities and facilities in the community has begun to be exposed.Public space needs to be upgraded and address the versatile needs of people with a broad spectrum of obstacles.At present,the barrier-free construction of outdoor public spaces in the community mainly focuses on the physical environment.The beneficiaries are mainly people with physical disabilities,but the consideration of visually impaired and hearing-impaired people is lacking.Based on this,this paper introduces the principle of sensory compensation,and takes the sensory obstacle and its compensation path as the starting point,and attempts to study the barrier-free optimization strategy in the community outdoor public space.Firstly,through the analysis of relevant literature and design cases,the theoretical characteristics and evolution of sensory compensation are studied.On the basis of combing theory,combined with the obstacle characteristics and behavior characteristics of the three groups of people with visual impairment,visually impaired and hearing impaired,construct logical association and summarize the differential application of sensory compensation principle.Secondly,conduct a survey on the use of outdoor public spaces in the community in Shenzhen,compare the relevant design specifications to conduct a survey of barrier-free facilities,understand the basic configuration and functional layout of existing communities,and record the use of public spaces to make them accessible.The construction will carry out the dismantling of elements and construct an indicator system.On the basis of summarizing the common problems of the community,combined with the obstacle characteristics of different obstacle groups and their sensory compensation channels,the barrier-free design strategies for community outdoor public space are proposed from three aspects: communication,socialization and perception.Finally,the outdoor public space reconstruction of a community in Shenzhen was taken as a strategic verification case,and specific suggestions were made for its traffic,social and perceived space.This paper mainly expands and complements the barrier-free design strategy of community outdoor public space,deepens the barrier-free needs of the generalized obstacle population,and effectively promotes the barrier-free construction in related fields.
