Elderly Memoir Product Design Research Based On Sensory Compensation

With the rapid development of information network technology,the connection between virtual networks and real life has become closer,and digital life has become an important part of our people’s lives.However,a large number of current network products do not fully consider the characteristics of weakened physiological functions of elderly users,and carry out corresponding designs that are adapted to the elderly.All these have caused the elderly users to have more troubles when learning and using network products,hindered the normal integration of the elderly into mainstream social life,and have a greater negative impact on the mental health of the elderly,which is not conducive to the long-term development of our society stable.Based on the above reasons,the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China has officially launched a nationwide special action on the elderly-oriented and barrier-free transformation of Internet applications from January 2021,which mainly includes mainstream mobile phone applications and websites.Sensory compensation means that when part of a person’s senses is damaged or weakened,in order to obtain sufficient effective information,the rest of the sensory functions will be enhanced.Studies have shown that increased sensory stimulation will have a positive impact on the cognitive efficiency of the elderly,and the interaction of multiple senses will also help improve the completeness and accuracy of effective information acquisition.Therefore,a design that makes full use of the mutual stimulation and complementation of the senses will not only help people with sensory weakness or impairment to use the product more efficiently and easily,but also help enhance their sensory compensatory ability.This paper sorts out the behaviors of the elderly using online products,and based on the research on sensory compensation,summarizes the corresponding senses behind different behaviors,and the sensory compensation forms that can be adopted,as well as sensory compensation design theories and principles.In terms of theory,this research has combed and summarized the theory and application of sensory compensation in software product design,and made up for the deficiencies of previous research.At the same time,the author also applied the research results to the design of elderly products under sensory compensation,thus providing a specific reference case.In terms of practice,this research applies the theoretical principles of sensory compensation and a variety of innovative interaction methods in the design of the elderly memoir products.It provides a comprehensive software product for elderly users with efficient and simple memory recording,genealogy writing,communication and nursing home information search.
