Cultural And Creative Product Design Based On Heqing Wamao Form

Wa Mao ist the most distinguishing architecture decoration of traditional Yunnan folk dwellings.As one of the symbolic cultural character of Yunnan district,Wa Mao is of great artistic value.Especially the tile cat in Heqing Wamao.With its dramatic design and expressive aesthetic appearance,Wa Mao is not only carrying local culture,but also presenting the unique ideas behind the Bai nationality architectures.The topic of Dali Heqing Wa Mao is chosen with the cooperation with the related cultural innovation project of Yunnan Ethnographic Museum.This paper first analyzed the massive research of Wa Mao in the district in order to understand the Wa Mao art.Then the paper described the status quo,cultural back ground,designing features,decoration characteristics as well as aesthetic ideas,based on summarizing the related articles and papers worldwide.Wa Mao is used in local cultural innovation product designing via various methods,It is mainly designed from the aspects of the style,decoration and cultural functions of the tile Wa Mao.The design theme is based on traditional stationery,modern stationery and jewelry,which combines folk art and modern aesthetics together.This makes it possible for creative Wa Mao artworks to become popular in public,for improving people's understanding and fondness for it,for enhancing the its added value,and thus stimulates the development and inheritance of Wa Mao.
