Research On Investment Risk Management Of Laosan Hydropower Project In Laos

Driven by the “Belt and Road Initiative” initiative,many enterprises of China have accelerated their efforts and speed to expand overseas markets with remarkable results.Southeast Asia and South Asia countries,as the main countries of international capacity cooperation,are favored by investors from all over the world.At present,infrastructure and industrial development in Southeast Asian countries are backward so that power shortages and power outages often occur while hydropower construction enterprises of China have mature hydropower station construction experience.With the gradually narrowing the development rights of various river basins in China,more and more enterprises are actively involved in the overseas hydropower investment industry.Yunnan is adjacent to Laos and “going out” enterprises of Yunnan to Laos to invest in hydropower projects have geographical and personal advantages.YEIG International Energy Development Co.,Ltd.,as a pioneer of the “One Belt and One Road” initiative of Yunnan provincial enterprises,is warming up to invest in the Lao market.At the same time,it also faces the situation where opportunities and challenges coexist.This paper starts with the investment environment of Laos hydropower market,analyzes the power supply and demand situation in Laos,to explore the investment opportunities of Xe Lanong-2 Hydropower Project.At the same time,with research on the status and problems of investment risk management of the company,it combines with the actual situation of the project and identifies the investment risks of the project from the early,middle and late stages of the project,and constructs an investment risk evaluation system.This paper adopts the method of fuzzy comprehensive analysis to assess the risks of each stage accurately.The research of this paper indicates that the significant risk in the early stage of project investment is political risk,the medium-term important risk is the international project contracting risk,and the later important risk is the management risk.Finally,based on the results of the analysis,this paper proposes corresponding countermeasures for the key prevention risks in each stage.
