The working environment of agricultural vehicles is very bad if comparing with passenger vehicles due to the special usage of agricultural vehicle.Seats are the one of the key components for vehicle to ensure the comfort and safety,and with the good performance of those attribute will help on maintain occupants health for physical and psychological.Therefore,to study how to improve seats’ safety and comfort attribute has the significant meaning of application.This thesis will study the rear seat of agricultural machine performance inspection vehicle on how to improve the performance of safety and seating comfortable.The details as per below:Creating the 3D model of rear seat,and to change the central seating position seat belt from 2 points belt design to 3 points belt design,to eliminate the safety risk of 2 point belt.Redesign the central seating position head restraint and the attachment to fix the issue of interference between new designed 3 point seat belt upper anchorage and current head restraint.On the end the design was verified by CAE simulation and prototype testing to check if safety performance has improved or not.To analyze seat back and cushion structure strength and resonant frequency by CAE.To optimize cushion front cross member’s design to improve anti-submarine performance,and the design was verified by CAE simulation and sliding test by check testing dummy’s displacement and displacement angle.By application the theory of anthropometry,Human biomechanics,vibration analysis and NVH,to study how seat back profile,seat hardness and noise absorb will contribute seat comfort.On the end to redefine the seat back profile,foam IFD and trim material to improve seating comfort.The outcome from this thesis’ research also can be applied on improving other vehicles seating safety and comfort as reference.
