Research On The Correlation Between Varicocele And Body Type And Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution

Objective:To study the relationship between varicocele and common TCM constitution types and body types.Methods:Patients with varicocele in 2017.01-2018.01 were collected from the male outpatient department of China-Japan friendship hospital through physical examination,color doppler ultrasound and questionnaire.Through filling in the questionnaire,485 cases of the most common constitution type of traditional Chinese medicine were selected.206 patients with no abnormality in color doppler ultrasound examination in this year were collected as the control group to establish a database for statistical analysis by spss20.0.Results:There were significant diffierences in age,weight and height between the two groups.But the degree of varicose was only correlated with age distribution.It does not increase with weight or height.There was no significant diffierences in BMI or testicular volume between the two groups.In three common types of TCM constitution,the Qi depression mass take the largest proportion,49%;The next is qi deficiency quality,34%;the least is blood stasis,17%.The three common types of TCM constitution of VC were associated with age,BMI and weight.There was no significant diffierences in height.There was no association with varicocele diameter or testicular volume.Varicocele grading was only correlated with age but not height,weight,BMI and testicular volume(left or right).Conclusion:VC was only correlated with height and weight but not testicular volume(left or right)and BMI.And the varicocele diameter was associated with age.The three common types of TCM constitution of VC were associated with age,BMI and weight.
