Objective: Based on the acupoint sensitization theory, this study takes patients with primary dysmenorrhea as the research object, observes the distribution of sensitization points(areas)in patients with primary dysmenorrhea, and analyzes their distribution in each nerve segment and each meridian to guide clinical diagnosis and treatment.By measuring the mechanical tenderness threshold of relevant acupoints with a sensory pain meter, the changes of mechanical tenderness threshold of relevant acupoints under pathological conditions were recorded, which clinically verifies the sensitization of acupoints under pathological conditions. Methods: In this study,69 patients who met the diagnostic criteria for primary dysmenorrhea were included as the observation object, and 31 normal menstruation women were used as controls.Particularly, the basic information and disease-related data of the enrolled people was collected. In addition, the distribution area of sensitization points(areas)in patients with primary dysmenorrhea and normal menstruation on the human dermatolome graph was recorded, and the mechanical tenderness threshold of relevant acupoints was measured with a pain tester. Finally,by performing descriptive analyses on the sensitized points(areas)and using frequency statistics to count the frequency of meridians, nerve segments appearing in the sensitized points(areas)were counted, and the mechanical tenderness thresholds of acupoints between the patients with primary dysmenorrhea and the normal menstrual group were compared using SPSS 23.0 software.Result: 1.Before treatment, the two groups of patients had significant differences in age and course of disease, with no statistical significance(P> 0.05),suggesting that the two groups had a balanced baseline in the composition of the course of disease and were comparable.2.In the dysmenorrhea patients, the overlapping positions of the sensitization points(areas)were overlapped. It was found that the sensitization points(areas)of the lumbosacral and lower abdomen were more diffuse, and there were more sensitization points and the distribution rate was higher.Besides, some of the sensitized points appear on the limbs;and most of the sensitized points(areas)appear to coincide with the acupoints.3.The incidence of body surface sensitization points(areas)in the dysmenorrhea group was about 83.08%.Most patients had 1–2 sensitization points(areas),a few patients had 3 sensitization points(areas),and some patients had no sensitization points(areas).4.In the dysmenorrhea group, the sensitized points(areas)were most frequently distributed in the L1 nerve segment, followed by the L4 nerve segment, the third S3 nerve segment, followed by the T12,L5 nerve segment.T10,T11,L3,S4 nerve segment there are also partial distributions, with a small distribution of L2,S1,T4,and T8.In the control group, only a few sensitization points appeared in the L4 and L5 nerve segments.5.In the dysmenorrhea group, the sensitization points(areas)are mainly distributed in Renmai,Spleen Meridian and Stomach Meridian;Dumai Meridian and Bladder Meridian are followed;Liver Meridian and Kidney Meridian have a small distribution. In the control group, only 1–2 sensitization points(areas)appeared in the spleen meridian and stomach meridian.6.Compared with the normal menstruation group, the primary dysmenorrhea patient group showed that the seventeen vertebrae, the Diji, the Sanyinjiao, and Guanyuan showed the characteristics of mechanical tenderness, all of which were pain-sensitive points. Conclusion:The sensitization points/areas of patients with primary dysmenorrhea are mainly distributed in the spleen meridian, ren meridian, and stomach meridian, and concentrated in the Guilai,Shuidao,Zigong,Guanyuan,Zhongji,Sanyinjiao,Diji, seventeen vertebrae,Ciliao point area. The distribution of sensitization points/areas in the nerve segments(T10-L1,S2-4)that dominated PD was more, with the highest occurrence rate of L1 nerve segments.Seventeen vertebrae,Diji,Sanyinjiao, and Zhongji of PD patients are sensitive to mechanical tenderness.
