Clinical Observation Of Jiawei Ziyin Xiaozhang Decoction In The Treatment Of Non-proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Ziyin Xiaozhang Decoction in treating Nonproliferative Diabetic Retinopathy with qi and yin deficiency and blood obstructed Syndrome.Methods: This study was conducted in the ophthalmic clinic of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.60patients(60 eyes)were collected in this research who were diagnosed as NPDR with qi and yin deficiency and blood obstructed Syndrome.They divided randomly into the treatment group and the control group.The treatment group was treated with the Ziyin Xiaozhang Decoction,the control group was treated with Calcium Dobesilate Capsules,treatment lasts for 3 months.3 months later,the changes of visua acuity,improvement of fundus lesions,foveal thickness and the score of TCM symptoms were compared before and after the treatment.Results: This research included 60 cases,after 3 months of treatment:There was no significant difference in sex,age,course of disease,degrees,preoperative vision and TCM syndrome score between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).(1)After treatment,the vision acuity of the two groups was improved compared with that before treatment(P<0.05).the improvement of vision acuity in the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).(2)The improvement of fundus lesions in both groups was better than that before treatment(p<0.05).the improvement of fundus lesions in the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).(3)The foveal thickness in both groups was significantly lower than that before treatment(P<0.05).the improvement of foveal thickness in the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).(4)In the aspect of improvement of TCM syndrome score,TCM syndrome score decreased in both groups after treatment,in which the treatment group decreased significantly compared with the control group(P<0.05),which was statistically significant.(5)The aspect of clinical efficiency showed that the rate of the treatment group was 83.33%,and the rate of the control group was 60.00%.Through statistical analysis,the clinical effect of the treatment groups was significantly better than that of the control group,P<0.05,which was statistically significant.Conclusion: The Ziyin Xiaozhang Decoction can obviously improve the symptoms and signs of patients who had Nonproliferative Diabetic Retinopathy with qi and yin deficiency and blood obstructed type.relieve the symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine,improve the best corrected visual acuity,and improvet the fundus lesions.It is safe and effective,with less adverse reactions,and has a good clinical value.
