Objectives To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of yiqiziyinhuayu prescription in treating NPDR of the qi and yin deficiency and blood obstructed syndrome. Methods Test subjects of this research from Tangshan city Chinese medicine hospital endocrinology inpatient between July 2014 and July 2015, a total of 75 cases. Two groups were given glucose- lowering treatment and symptomatic treatment in other diseases, the treatment group received yiqiziyinhuayu prescription simultaneously, one dose a day,250ml/once, twice a day. When the patients were given different treatment 1 month, we can observe the changes of TCM clinical symptoms, eyesight, eye ground pathological changes, ophthalmic artery blood flow velocity, FBG, PBG, Hb A1 c, liver and kidney function. Results 1 Comparison of the accumulating points and effect of TCM symptom: The TCM syndrome integrals were decreased in both of two groups after therapy, the treatment group′s integral was significantly lower than that of control group(7.24±5.75 vs11.77±6.79, P<0.05). The therapeutic effect of treatment group was obviously improved than that in control group(82.3% vs 42.8%, P<0.05). 2 Comparison of eyesight and the effect of fundus: The eyesight of two groups were increased after treatment compared with prior-treatment(P < 0.05); compared with the control group, the eyesight of treatment group was obviously improve(P<0.05). The treatment group′s total effectiveness of the therapeutic efficacy of fundus is 85.3%, 27(39.7%) eyes showed marked effect, 31(45.6%)eyes effect, 10(14.7%) eyes without effect, there was no evil effect; the therapeutic efficacy of fundus of control group total effectiveness 48.6%, 14(20.0%) eyes showed marked effect, 20(28.6%) eyes effect, 36(51.4%) eyes without effect, there was no evil effect; in contrast with control group, the total effective rate of fundus lesions of treatment group was improved superior(P<0.05). 3 Comparison of ophthalmic artery blood flow velocity: Compared with before treatment, the ophthalmic artery blood flow velocity was obviously improved(P<0.05), and the therapeutic effect of ophthalmic artery blood flow velocity in treatment group was better than control group(P < 0.05). 4 Comparison of blood glucose and Hb A1c: Compared with before treatment, the blood glucose and Hb A1 c were obviously improved(P < 0.05), and the therapeutic effect of blood glucose and Hb A1 c in treatment group were better than control group(P<0.05). 5 Comparison of liver and kidney function: There was no significantly different in liver and kidney function of two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions Yiqiziyinhuayu prescription can decreased blood glucose, relieve TCM clinical symptoms, increase blood flow velocity, reducing the degree of fundus lesions, slowing or reversing diabetic retinopathy progression and improving eyesight.
