"Yinqi Ointment" Externally Treats The Effects Of Diabetic Foot Ulcers On Wounds, Growth Factors And Inflammatory Factors

Objective:To explore and evaluate the therapeutic effect of Yinqi ointment on diabetic foot patients with deficiency of both qi and yin,the content of growth factor-vascular endothelial growth factor,basic fibroblast growth factor(VEGF,bFGF)in serum,and the content of inflammatory factor-tumor necrosis factor-?,interleukin-6(TNF-?,IL-6)in serum of patients with diabetic foot with deficiency of both qi and yin.Methods:A total of 66 patients with diabetic foot were collected from the inpatient department and outpatient department of Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2018 to December 2019,including 41 males and 25 females.The selected patients were randomly divided into treatment group(n=33)and control group(n=33).Under the same basic medical treatment,the wounds were treated with Yinqi ointment in the treatment group and Baiduobang ointment in the control group.Patients in both groups underwent dressing changes four times a week(Monday,Wednesday,Friday and Sunday).The basic information of the two groups was collected,and the wound area,TCM syndrome score and the content of VEGF,bFGF,TNF-? and IL-6 in serum were collected before and 28 days after treatment.The wound area,wound healing rate,TCM syndrome score,VEGF,bFGF,TNF-? and IL-6 in serum of the two groups before and after treatment were statistically analyzed.Results:1.The baseline data of the two groups:there was no significant difference in sex,age,BMI,blood pressure,heart rate and respiration between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Wound area of the two groups:there was no significant difference in wound area between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),which was comparable.There was no significant difference in wound area between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).Compared before and after treatment,the wound area of the two groups after treatment was smaller than that before treatment(P<0.05).3.Wound healing rate of the two groups:the wound healing rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).4.TCM syndrome score of the two groups:before treatment,there was no significant difference in TCM syndrome main syndrome score,TCM syndrome secondary syndrome score and TCM syndrome total score between the two groups(P>0.05),and there was no significant difference between the two groups.After treatment,the main syndrome score and the total score of TCM syndrome in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Compared before and after treatment,the scores of main symptoms and total scores of TCM syndromes in the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the score of TCM syndrome between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).5.The content of serum growth factors(VEGF,bFGF)in the two groups:there was no significant difference in the content of VEGF and bFGF between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the contents of serum VEGF and bFGF in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Before and after treatment,the contents of VEGF and bFGF in serum of the two groups were higher than those of VEGF and bFGF before treatment(P<0.05).6.The contents of serum inflammatory factors(TNF-?,IL-6)in the two groups:there was no significant difference in the contents of serum TNF-? and IL-6 between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the levels of serum TNF-? and IL-6 in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Compared before and after treatment,the contents of TNF-? and IL-6 in serum of the two groups were lower than those of TNF-? and IL-6 before treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion:Yinqi ointment has a certain curative effect in the treatment of diabetic foot with deficiency of both qi and yin,and has a good clinical effect in reducing wound area,reducing wound depth,reducing wound exudation and pus,improving granulation state,peri-wound redness and swelling.Yinqi ointment can increase the content of growth factors(VEGF,bFGF)in patients with diabetic foot with deficiency of both qi and yin,and reduce the content of inflammatory factors(TNF-?,IL-6)in patients with diabetic foot with deficiency of both qi and yin,so it can be widely used in clinic.
