The Stage Practice And Research Of The Role Of "Jiang Sister" In The Opera

Sister Jiang(Jiangjie),a large-scale national opera,is a milestone in the history of the development of Chinese opera,having been performed again and again.The author makes the research of stage performance for character Sister Jiang by analyzing Sister Jiang as a case study.First of all,the general situation of the two rehearsals for Sister Jiang by performers from Nanjing normal university Taizhou college and those from Nanjing normal university academy of music,are presented in this paper.The author provides the reasons of playing this opera,the paperwork of character Sister Jiang and the description of the author's performance is also mentioned.The author mainly analyzes the aesthetic treatments in Sister Jiang,including the diversification in musical quality,Strength and tempo,lasting appeal,and the proper emotional expression,which are the main elements for shaping the Sister Jiang image.In addition,the author speaks of the aesthetic treatments of body movements through two aspects,that is,the body movements are supposed to accord with image of Sister Jiang,and they should reflect the inner feelings of Sister Jiang.On the basis of the analysis of arias,lines and body movements in Sister Jiang,the author summarizes the macroscopic stage performance for Sister Jiang character through three approaches:"oblivious of oneself",interacting with other performers and trying to figure out the gap with others.Opera is a comprehensive art form by integrating music,dance,drama,literature and poem.For teachers and students in music professional,the opera has a practical significance with its interdisciplinary feature.In conclusion,the author mentions the enlightenments for vocal music teaching through the performance of this opera.Although at present we have already accumulated the abundant research data about the opera Sister Jiang,lots of which are confined to the analyses for characters or aria,we haven't discovered the all-round paper for stage performance of Sister Jiang,considering factors like putting on the whole play,being played by one performer and being the campus version.
