‘Sympathy' is one of the most important topics of Scheler's phenomenology of the vast emotional study.Scheler's illustration for ‘sympathy' phenomeon is start from criticizing ‘Sympathy Ethics',which represented by Hume,Adam, and Schopenhauer.Scheler thought their research was taking ‘sympathy' as the highest moral value, and these are flawed. In order to achieve comprehensive and correct grasp about sympathy, the study of ‘sympathy'should be based on the sympathy phenomenon itself, taken on sympathy for static analysis and dynamic analysis. As to Static analysis, explored the nature and meaning of sympathy firstly, analysed furtherly the various patterns of sympathy, which contain internal rules of order can be revealed. Therefore,Scheler classified ‘sympathy' phenomeon into four patterns, that include communing of a feeling, fellow feeling, emotional infection, and emotive identification. And these four patterns reflect that in different scenarious the ‘sympathy' generated from ego and others have different characters and meaning. As to dynamic analysis, investigated the conditions and basis of sympathy. Therefore we need firstly to solve the problem of inter-subjectivity,because sympathy always points to the relationship between ego and others,inter-subjectivity problems is the precondition of making sympathy possible. The study on inter-subjectivity problems is inseparable from his criticism of empathy theory, because empathy theory also solved the problem of the relationship between ego and others, the difference is the empathy theory canceled boundaries between ego and others self, while the sympathy theory stressed the boundaries between ego and others self.Besides, love is a foundation of sympathy. The sympathy which contains love has moral value.
