Independent music is a mode of production,but also means independent musical attitude.It originated in the late 1980 s,after 30 years of development,and now finally ushered in the spring.This paper investigates the external macro-market environment of independent music and the basic situation of internal musicians,labels and fans through surveys and interviews with interviews and other research methods.After a field visit survey and data collection,this paper studies the major music festivals and some Local Live House's survival and management status,in addition to online music and the surrounding industries were explored,summed up the independent music industry chain.I also use Modernsky company as a case and analyze of its marketing tools.Based on the above research,I believe that indie music needs to solve the problem of lack of quality of musicians in future and more music styles still need to tap the potential market.
